The Challenge
Brokers are spending hours a day responding to carrier inquiries that don’t lead to conversion.
A Strong Hypothesis
We hypothesized that CoDriver, our proprietary AI solution, could handle these inquiries quicker and more accurately than human counterparts, freeing up brokers’ time for more strategic tasks. Additionally, CoDriver could potentially convert these inquiries into valuable new quotes for Parade’s platform.
Fast Iteration and Testing
From that hypothesis, I was asked to design something we could demo to prospects and learn from as quickly as possible. Working directly with the CEO and a small team of engineers and data scientists, we iterated on an email plugin and eventually a Parade UI to show how this might all work.
The premise was that a load inquiry would come to an inbox we controlled. CoDriver can parse that request and supply formatted load information, feed it into our load matching model, and generate a response that will share load details and ask for carrier information and a rate.
Most of the work here is conversational UX, testing scenarios and ensuring the AI is responding the same way a freight broker would.
Building Trust
We built a page to monitor the status of these requests to build trust and make testing easier. Users can filter to conversations that require intervention (about 10% of all conversations).
The results
In less than 2 months our idea was in production and getting tested by customers. Early users saw 4x more quotes and 3x more digital transactions than before.
